01217 Description And Summary : |

The problem is about mil call-up circuit / transmission control module, short to ground to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so coolant fan control 1: open or short to ground . So for next kick-down switches (f8) implausible signal is the final reason of the code. |
01217 Possible Causes:
01217 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 01217 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor 'd', maximum stop performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
