01201 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine pressure control solenoid 4 (n218), open / short to ground retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start ecm/pcm power input, signal high and secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 1, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
01201 Possible Causes:
01201 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 01201 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4 mixture adaptation range 3, lean limit not reached
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
