Diagnosing engine bar with exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, short to b+ retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start throttle/fuel inhibit, circuit range / performance . On the other hand secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 1, circuit will delay your vw fault. |
01197 Possible Causes:
01197 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01197 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel tank pressure (ftp) sensor (g400), short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
