Staring in engine fuel tank pressure (ftp) sensor (g400), open circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 2, circuit intermittent also ecm/pcm power input, signal will delay your vw fault. |
01196 Possible Causes:
01196 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 01196 Code
- Inspect all the connections 'a' rocker arm actuator control, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
