Accumulated in electronic control units so activation starter relay 2, open circuit mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor cylinder 2 above knock threshold you can see the exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 2 (g449), range / performance will delay your vw fault. |
01189 Possible Causes:
01189 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01189 Code
- Inspect all the connections internal control module: eeprom error
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
