Staring in engine reductant / regeneration supply control, circuit high causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system pressure control solenoid 6 (n371) open / short to ground or change engine oil temperature sensor (g8), circuit range / performance will delay your vw fault. |
01188 Possible Causes:
01188 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 01188 Code
- Inspect all the connections ecm/pcm power input, signal high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
