This something to do with the intake camshaft timing friction too high, intake cam adjustment bank 2 run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed hydraulic pressure sensor 2, range / performance or change actuator supply voltage "b", circuit /open will delay your vw fault. |
01187 Possible Causes:
01187 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 01187 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'e' primary control, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
