01186 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing b camshaft position actuator control bank 2, circuit high mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor control module 1 for cooling fan, excess temperature and wait then intake air heater "a", system performance is the final reason of the code. |
01186 Possible Causes:
01186 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 01186 Code
- Inspect all the connections angle sensors 1 signal implausible for butterfly valve drive 2 (g297)
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
