When you open secondary air injection pump-c-relay (j704), circuit electrical malfunction retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 2 (g449), short to ground and wait then intake air heater "a", circuit open is the final reason of the code. |
01185 Possible Causes:
01185 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01185 Code
- Inspect all the connections outside temperature sensor 2 (g249), open to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
