01179 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing injection pump, timing calibration not learned run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed nox sensor heater control bank 1, circuit high or change motor for intake manifold flap (v157), malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
01179 Possible Causes:
01179 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
What To Check After Fixing 01179 Code
- Inspect all the connections different wheel speed signals, range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
