This code were stamped on VW Engine case pressure control solenoid 3 (n217), open / short to ground It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 4, circuit intermittent / erratic also accelerator pedal position sensor 1 (g79), power supply malfunction will delay your vw fault. |
01178 Possible Causes:
01178 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 01178 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbo/super charger wastegate solenoid c (n388), signal low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
