01178 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine powertrain data bus, missing message from instrument cluster retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start turbocharger boost control position sensor, circuit intermittent or change valve for pump - jet: cylinder 7 (n303), electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
01178 Possible Causes:
01178 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01178 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4, sensor 2 heater circuit, interruption
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
