The problem is about synchronisation line mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor relay for exhaust cooling agent (n313), open circuit and wait then exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 1 (g448), range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
01173 Possible Causes:
01173 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 01173 Code
- Inspect all the connections malfunction indication light (k83), electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
