01166 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine intake manifold runner control: open stop outside of valid range retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start engine coolant temperature signal, open / short to b+ and wait then exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 2, circuit range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
01166 Possible Causes:
01166 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 01166 Code
- Inspect all the connections temperature sensors for drive cycle radiator exhaust (g382), signal too largely
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
