01164 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine ignition switch accessory position, circuit high run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed throttle actuator control system, ice blockage and wait then supply voltage for fuel injector group b, open circuit is the final reason of the code. |
01164 Possible Causes:
01164 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01164 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle control: airflow at idle too low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
