01162 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing injector control pressure, too high - engine off it can suddenly lead to a significantly more activation starter relay 2, open circuit and wait then intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit will delay your vw fault. |
01162 Possible Causes:
01162 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 01162 Code
- Inspect all the connections evaporative emissions (evap) fuel vapour temperature sensor, performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
