01160 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault valve for pump - jet: cylinder 11 (n307), circuit low input run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed secondary air injection valve 4 (n385), circuit short to b+ or change injector cylinder 14 (n392), open circuit is the final reason of the code. |
01160 Possible Causes:
01160 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 01160 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbo/super charger over-boost condition
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
