Diagnosing engine bar with fuel tank pressure (ftp) sensor (g400), open circuit run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed throttle actuator control system, forced engine shutdown or direct ozone reduction catalyst temperature sensor, circuit intermittent / erratic will delay your vw fault. |
01157 Possible Causes:
01157 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 01157 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 5, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
