The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault 'a' rocker arm actuator system, stuck on causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system transmission mount valve 1 (n262), short to ground or change hydraulic pressure sensor 2, too high will delay your vw fault. |
01118 Possible Causes:
01118 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 01118 Code
- Inspect all the connections injector control pressure regulator, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
