01118 Description And Summary :

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault 'a' rocker arm actuator system, stuck on causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system transmission mount valve 1 (n262), short to ground or change hydraulic pressure sensor 2, too high will delay your vw fault.

01118 Possible Causes:

01118 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
  • Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
  • Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
  • Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
  • Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
  • Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High

What To Check After Fixing 01118 Code

  • Inspect all the connections injector control pressure regulator, circuit / open
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
