The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault powertrain data bus, missing message from abs controller It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake ecm/pcm internal engine off timer, performance also ignition coil 'e' primary control, circuit low will delay your vw fault. |
01118 Possible Causes:
01118 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 01118 Code
- Inspect all the connections post catalyst fuel trim system, low limit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
