01097 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing generator shut-off, open or short to ground mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust bank 2 sensor 1 oxygen sensor signal, implausibly lean . On the other hand malfunction indication light (k83), short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
01097 Possible Causes:
01097 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 01097 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle actuator control system, sudden low air flow detected
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
