01089 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'd' / 'f', voltage correlation causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system fuel injection valve 2 (n367), open circuit also pressure control solenoid 2 (n216), electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
01089 Possible Causes:
01089 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 01089 Code
- Inspect all the connections injection pump timing offset
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
