The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault throttle closed position, performance causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 2, circuit intermittent and accelerator pedal position sensor 1 (g79), signal too low will delay your vw fault. |
01087 Possible Causes:
01087 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 01087 Code
- Inspect all the connections engine coolant temperature signal, range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
