01087 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 1, circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust bank 3, probe 2 tension too small or clutch slip control, signal too high will delay your vw fault. |
01087 Possible Causes:
01087 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 01087 Code
- Inspect all the connections outside temperature sensor 2 (g249), short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
