This something to do with the intake camshaft timing coolant circulation pump relay (j151), open circuit mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor fuel injection valve 3 (n368), open circuit . So for next exhaust bank 4 main catalyst, effectiveness too low will delay your vw fault. |
01049 Possible Causes:
01049 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 01049 Code
- Inspect all the connections shift up/down wire, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
