01049 Description And Summary : |

When you open relays for coolant additive pump (j496), short to ground it can suddenly lead to a significantly more injector control pressure, too low you can see the intake manifold flap; bank 2, stuck open will delay your vw fault. |
01049 Possible Causes:
01049 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 01049 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor negative current control bank 2 sensor 1, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
