Diagnosing engine bar with engine coolant level sensor / switch, circuit range / performance mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor intake manifold tuning valve (bank 1), stuck open also bank 1; system too lean at idle will delay your vw fault. |
01046 Possible Causes:
01046 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 01046 Code
- Inspect all the connections solenoid ev 7 (n94), electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
