01046 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault cylinder 10 injector, data incompatible retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start fuel pump "a", low flow / performance and data bus powertrain, implausible message of the clutch electrics will delay your vw fault. |
01046 Possible Causes:
01046 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01046 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'k' primary control, short to plus
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
