When you open coolant degassing valve, control circuit low run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed fuel cap sensor / switch, circuit range / performance . So for next secondary air injection system switching valve bank 2, stuck closed will delay your vw fault. |
01042 Possible Causes:
01042 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 01042 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 1, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
