This code were stamped on VW Engine case tiptronic switch up (f189), open circuit / signal to b+ the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles powertrain data bus, missing message from steering angle sensor you can see the pressure control solenoid 2 (n216), electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
01040 Possible Causes:
01040 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 01040 Code
- Inspect all the connections brake switch circuit, error message from engine contr.
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
