01006 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault tiptronic switch down (f189), open circuit / signal to b+ to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so outside temperature sensor 2 (g249), open to b+ or change please check dtc memory of airbag ecu is the final reason of the code. |
01006 Possible Causes:
01006 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01006 Code
- Inspect all the connections data-bus powertrain, missing message from level control module (j197)
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
