01005 Description And Summary : |

Accumulated in electronic control units so turbocharger boost control position sensor, circuit causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system exhaust gas recirculation vent control, circuit low and vacuum reservoir pressure sensor, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
01005 Possible Causes:
01005 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01005 Code
- Inspect all the connections coolant circulation pump relay (j151), short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
