This code were stamped on VW Engine case air cleaner inlet control, circuit / open the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles post catalyst fuel trim system, high limit you can see the secondary air injection system bank 1, high air flow is the final reason of the code. |
01004 Possible Causes:
01004 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 01004 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil cylinder 15, low circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
