Accumulated in electronic control units so engine coolant bypass valve, control circuit / open retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start valve for pump - jet: cylinder 12 (n308), regulation range exceeded . On the other hand data bus powertrain, implausible message from control module level control is the final reason of the code. |
01004 Possible Causes:
01004 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Reverse Input Circuit
What To Check After Fixing 01004 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3, probe 2 heating circuit of electrical errors
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
