01003 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing ecm/pcm power relay sense, circuit intermittent mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor transmission temperature control or accelerator pedal position sensor 1 (g79), power supply malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
01003 Possible Causes:
01003 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 01003 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'a' secondary circuit, malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
