01003 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing barometric pressure sensor 'a', circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start fuel pump "a", low flow / performance or change system too lean at higher load, bank 1 is the final reason of the code. |
01003 Possible Causes:
01003 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01003 Code
- Inspect all the connections 'a' rocker arm actuator control, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
