01002 Description And Summary : |

Staring in engine shift lock, short to ground mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor throttle plate control 2, malfunction also data bus powertrain, implausible message of the steering angle is the final reason of the code. |
01002 Possible Causes:
01002 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 01002 Code
- Inspect all the connections control module 2 for cooling fan, short circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
