This code were stamped on VW Engine case valve for exhaust flap 1 (n321), short to ground retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit intermittent / erratic or exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 4, circuit low will delay your vw fault. |
01001 Possible Causes:
01001 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 01001 Code
- Inspect all the connections fuel mode indicator lamp control, circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
