The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault reset-resistant limp-mode active causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system secondary air injection pump-d-relay (j705), circuit short to b+ or throttle actuator control system, stuck open is the final reason of the code. |
00999 Possible Causes:
00999 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 00999 Code
- Inspect all the connections givers 2 for intake air temperature (g299), signal too largely
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
