00993 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 00993 Code
- Inspect all the connections relay for supply voltage terminal 30 (j317), implausible signal
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
