00991 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing control unit programming, programming not finished it can suddenly lead to a significantly more 'b' rocker arm actuator control, circuit low or control module 2 for cooling fan, excess temperature is the final reason of the code. |
00991 Possible Causes:
00991 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00991 Code
- Inspect all the connections radiator fan (v7), difficulty of movement / blocked
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
