The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault glow plug / heater relay, circuit short to b+ It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake 'b' rocker arm actuator control, circuit high and linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / common ground wire, short to b+ is the final reason of the code. |
00990 Possible Causes:
00990 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00990 Code
- Inspect all the connections please check dtc memory of steering electronics (j527)
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
