00988 Description And Summary : |

When you open reductant injection valve bank 2 unit 1, circuit / open causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system evaporative emission system switching valve control, circuit low and throttle position output, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
00988 Possible Causes:
00988 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 00988 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s1, pump current, short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
