The problem is about cooling bypass valve 2, exhaust gas recirculation flow, electrical the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles turbocharger boost control position sensor 'b', circuit and linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / common ground wire, open circuit is the final reason of the code. |

00986 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
