Accumulated in electronic control units so intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit intermittent causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system control module defective and ignition switch run position, circuit high will delay your vw fault. |
00981 Possible Causes:
00981 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 00981 Code
- Inspect all the connections malfunction indication light (k83), electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
