Staring in engine linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / pump current, short to ground retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start nox sensor bank 2, circuit intermittent also change-over valve for intake manifold flap 2, performance or stuck off is the final reason of the code. |
00980 Possible Causes:
00980 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00980 Code
- Inspect all the connections control module defective
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
