The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault altitude adaptation, signal out of tolerance run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed relay for exhaust cooling agent (n313), short to b+ and secondary air injection pump-c-relay (j704), circuit open circuit will delay your vw fault. |
00979 Possible Causes:
00979 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 00979 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for exhaust flap 1 (n321), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
