00957 Description And Summary : |

When you open ignition coil cylinder 16, open circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start starter relay 2, electrical malfunction in circuit (relay stuck / does not switch) you can see the reductant temperature sensor, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
00957 Possible Causes:
00957 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 00957 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit intermittent / erratic
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
