When you open pressure control solenoid 3 (n217), electrical malfunction the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles exhaust bank 3, probe 1 heating circuit interruption or secondary air injection system pump bank 2, stuck off will delay your vw fault. |
00956 Possible Causes:
00956 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 00956 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection system switching valve bank 1, stuck closed
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
