The problem is about exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 5, circuit / open mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor shift lock, open and wait then pressure control solenoid 2 (n216), electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
00949 Possible Causes:
00949 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00949 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 1, circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
