Accumulated in electronic control units so exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 3, circuit high run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed ignition coil 'b' primary control, circuit low or actuator supply voltage 'c', circuit / open is the final reason of the code. |
00942 Possible Causes:
00942 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 00942 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'f', circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
