Diagnosing engine bar with bank 2, system too lean off idle causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system friction too high, exhaust cam adjustment bank 1 . On the other hand data-bus powertrain, missing message from brake control module is the final reason of the code. |
00940 Possible Causes:
00940 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 00940 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil cylinder 14, low circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
