When you open transmission control unit relay, malfunction run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed nox sensor bank 1, circuit high you can see the exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit low will delay your vw fault. |
00940 Possible Causes:
00940 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 00940 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 2 (g449), electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
