00936 Description And Summary :

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault glow plug/heater relay 2 circuit, open or short to ground It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake load signal, error message from ecu or change pressure control solenoid 2 (n216), short to b+ is the final reason of the code.

00936 Possible Causes:

00936 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
  • Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
  • Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
  • Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
  • Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
  • Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low

What To Check After Fixing 00936 Code

  • Inspect all the connections catalyst system exhaust bank 3, effectiveness too low
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
