Diagnosing engine bar with turbocharger speed sensor, circuit causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system intake manifold tuning valve (bank 1), stuck closed you can see the signal buzzer activation, short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
00917 Possible Causes:
00917 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 00917 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection pump-c-relay (j704), circuit short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
