Staring in engine relays for coolant additive pump (j496), open circuit It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake throttle/pedal position sensor 'd', minimum stop performance or change manifold absolute pressure / mass air flow - throttle position correlation at higher load will delay your vw fault. |
00916 Possible Causes:
00916 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00916 Code
- Inspect all the connections engine torque reduction, open / short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
