00916 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing reductant injection valve bank 1 unit 2, circuit / open mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor boost pressure control valve (n249), mechanical malfunction and wait then intake manifold flap; bank 1, stuck closed is the final reason of the code. |
00916 Possible Causes:
00916 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00916 Code
- Inspect all the connections shift up/down wire, short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
