Diameter in engine intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start ignition coil cylinder 14, open circuit or change oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s2, signal shorted to heater circuit will delay your vw fault. |
00898 Possible Causes:
00898 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 00898 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 4, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
