The problem is about charging system, voltage mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor oxygen (lambda) sensor b1 s3, signal shorted to heater circuit . On the other hand valve for pump - jet: cylinder 8 (n304), range / performance is the final reason of the code. |
00896 Possible Causes:
00896 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00896 Code
- Inspect all the connections intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit low bank 1
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
