The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault camshaft position signal output, circuit / open It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake o2 sensor negative current control bank 1 sensor 1, circuit / open and torque management feedback signal "a", low will delay your vw fault. |
00896 Possible Causes:
00896 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 00896 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for pump - jet: cylinder 9 (n305), range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
